Newspaper and TV reporters are quite fond of making jokes about 'Martians' and 'little green men' whenever they hear of a UFO report, but sometimes people who meet the entities from UFOs really do report that they are small and had green skins. The boy who met a UFO entity on his way to school at Terrace on the Skeena River in British Columbia, Canada, in February 1970 later told his teachers that the small creature had a greenish skin.

The boy was going back to school after having lunch at home when suddenly he noticed a round UFO near a clump of trees. Coming towards him was an entity about his own height (less than 4 feet/1.2 metres). His head was fairly small and his feet, which the boy thought were bare, were quite large. The little entity made a 'jabbering' noise which the boy could not understand. Then, taking a sort of pistol from his belt, he pointed it at his left hand and squirted a glob of something into his palm. Then he squashed it into a flat 'cake' which he handed to the boy. The boy was worried and confused by this, and continued his walk to school. When he looked back, both entity and UFO had gone. He told his teacher what had happened and showed him the lump of material from the little creature. It was yellow with flecks of green and would have been the size of a golf ball before being flattened. The teacher did not recognize it as anything familiar. He gave it back to the boy, but a little while later they found it on the ground by the boy's foot. When the teacher picked it up this time, it seemed to have shrunk. Later in the afternoon, when he retold his story, the boy could not find the yellow lump anywhere. Whether he lost it or whether it melted, no one could tell.
