Sir:
About 10:40 p.m. while watching television I
noticed a moderately bright orange light
travelling across the sky. It was at an angle of
about 30 degrees and was travelling parallel to
the horizon. I called to my brother and he also
observed it. While I watched from one window my
brother moved to another but his view was
obscured by a street light. While he was still
at this window I saw the object dim and vanish
in a matter of two seconds. The whole period of
observations was about 45 seconds.
The light was of unchanging intensity although
my brother seemed to think it travelled in
jerks, but this could be attributed to the
window through which It was observed. Hoping
this letter will be of use and interest.
