A strange glowing light was seen over Summerland on Tuesday, September 9th at approximately 9:45 pm.

Mr. and Mrs. Art Halleran, who live on Giant's. Head Road said they witnessed a strange light in the cast which appeared to be high above the east side of Okanagan Lake. It appeared to fall at the rate of a parachute drop said Mr. Halleran. The strange glowing light disappeared below their residence in the Happy Valley area.

Mr. and Mrs. Halleran drove down into the area and found that the Bennetts, who reside in that area, had witnessed the same object.

The Summerland RCMP were called, and Const. P. Leroux checked the area but was unable to find any trace of the mysterious object.
