Did anyone else see an unidentified flying object early Thursday?

Mrs. Edith Pake, 416 Sixth Avenue South, wants to know.

She says she has always been skeptical about such matters, but she is certain that there was something strange in the sky over Mount Arrowsmith

Mrs. Pake says she was awakened by a cramp in her leg at 5 a.m. and while walking through her kitchen she saw a bright object in the sky - "bigger than a star."

She said it was round and it was "scintillating"

She added. "It seemed to have a tail."

She said she got up five times to look at it to be certain she wasn't dreaming, and it was still evident at 6 a.m. when daylight had chased the rest of the stars out of sight.

She hopes other sky watchers will verify her sighting and perhaps explain it.
