A power failure struck Vancouver Island on August 9, 1968, which started at 4:55 P.M.  Power was not restored until 6:15 P.M. This power was somewhat like the U.S. Blackout of 1965, although not as large. But like the U.S. Blackout, it has not been explained as to the cause. For ten days before the power failure, a young man claimed he saw an orange ball cross the Victoria sky line each night. A woman also claims to have seen on orange ball one night before the power failure. UFOs were seen over the Victoria University by several persons a few days after the blackout. Also, around this time, rectangular objects were sighted over the Seattle area, So it seems that something was going on at this time that is very strange to say the least. UFOs were seen at the time of the U.S. Blackout and before the failure. A U.S. scientist has hinted that the blackout could have been caused by UFOs, and to date we have not had a better explanation. It seems strange that no cause could be found for such a large failure when we always get an explanation for most other failures. A good assumption is that UFOs had something to do with the U.S. Blackout, and possibly with the Vancouver Island blackout. Of course this is all speculation but the more you look at the facts, the stranger it becomes. Maybe other failures are happening on smaller scales and under similar conditions but are getting unnoticed. If UFOs are causing this strange failure, it is time for our government to make a full investigation.
